FDA Approved Fat Blocker “ALLI” Hits Stores

So its finally out on the street Alli the only FDA approved diet pill that is a fat blocker. This new diet pill is not really new its just a reduced dose of the prescription drug Xenical. Alli is half the strength of the prescription version but still has all the side effects that include (Fatty stools, gas with a oily discharge, spotting, and inability to control bowel movements) I don’t think you should be wearing white pants while taking this diet pill.

As with most diet pills Alli by itself will not make you lose weight, you must include a balanced diet and exercise to make it effective. Don’t forget about the side effects when you go to the gym or on that long walk!

Cost
Its going to cost you about $60 dollars a month to buy it and then you might have to buy some of those adult dippers to go along with it so add that cost in also.

More than just a pill, the Alli program involves a reduced-calorie, low-fat diet, regular walking and toning exercises, and behavioral changes. It comes with a companion book called Are You Losing It? Losing Weight Without Losing Your Mind, along with other weight loss material and online support. The drug’s manufacturer, GlaxoSmithKline, is going all out with a splashy marketing plan that includes a museum-style exhibit in Manhattan demonstrating a dieter’s experience before and after the addition of Alli.

If you really want to lose weight, the answer is not as sleek and sexy as taking a pill. “You need to make a mild change in how much you eat and a mild change on how much you exercise, If you walk 2 miles more and eat 300 calories less per day, you will lose a pound a week or one-half a pound a week. It’s slow but it works and has no risks.”

I for one would not recommend taking this drug. Walk a little more eat a little less and save the money.

What is diabetes and are you at risk?

Diabetes is a disease that results in too much sugar (glucose) in the blood. Your body does not have enough insulin available to turn food into energy. High levels of glucose slowly damage your eyes, heart, kidneys, nerves, legs, and feet. Diabetes is a serious disease affecting 20.8 million people in this country, and you may be at risk if you are Hispanic, overweight, or do not exercise regularly. Hispanics are nearly twice as likely as non-Hispanic whites to develop this disease.
